Located off Highway 1, just one mile south of Davenport, is Panther Beach - the official adopted beach of Sea Slugs.

Beautiful and hidden, Panther is a location that currently does not have any trash cans on the beach or in the dirt parking lot above it. Only accessible by a narrow and rocky trail, this makes beach-goers more prone to leaving their trash behind.

Combined with a reputation as a 'party beach', it's easy for this cove to quickly become polluted.

Sea Slugs organizes monthly clean-ups to combat waste. To find the date of the next clean up, follow our Instagram @ucscseaslugs

And, of course, if you are ever lucky enough to spend a day at Panther, comb the sands and pick up what you can carry.

Every piece collected counts.

To date we have collected over 1000 lbs of trash at this beach alone!
